History of the Farley Company
The
Farley Company was founded in 1925 by Russell Farley and began as a
supplier of Lubricants and Chemicals to industrial businesses, then
expanded to serve the growing automobile and transportation sector.
Robert Burrows took over ownership of the company in 1972.
In the Mid-70’s Bob brought in his son Chris Burrows to take over some
duties and help run the company. Bob’s other son, Mike Burrows came
aboard part-time at Farley in the late 70’s to work in the warehouse,
and then moved into an office role in the mid 1990’s.
Mark Lippucci became a stakeholder of the company in 1993 to manage the financial operations of the business.
Bob Burrows retired in 1994 leaving the business in the capable hands
of Chris Burrows-President, Mike Burrows Vice President and Mark
Lippucci, Chief Financial Officer.
In September 1994 the Plant moved to the current location in Kent with expanded warehouse and storage facilities.
The Farley Company, by establishing relationships with quality
suppliers, continued to grow and diversify with new product line
offerings, including our own brand of lubricants, Five Star Select.
Chris Burrows retired in 2010 and Mike Burrows took over the reins as
President in a relatively seamless transition due to Mike’s many years
of experience in the business.
We are proud to continue the tradition of Farley quality and service by
offering the full range of Lubricants and Chemicals you need, with the
personal touch and integrity that is the cornerstone of our business.
